Birthday girl.

Our baby is no longer a baby. We have officially entered toddlerhood. :)

Looking back…

I have to admit, I’m not the kind of husband that jumps at every opportunity to fly solo with our kiddos. Mainly, because I know it’s real work and I’m unskilled in comparison to Regi. But Regi had a chance to be with some friends today for the birth of their first child, so it was me and the kids all day, together. I’m usually busy with my pet projects or work on Saturdays, but today, it was just me and Hannah, Lukas, Allison and Elizabeth. It was a great day! Of course, I cut some corners (doughnuts and juice for brunch–from Casey’s, heat-n-serve chicken nuggets and fries for mid-afternoon lunch, and pizza–again from Casey’s). We had a great time hanging out together. Before Regi left, Hannah told me that she was dissappointed that she couldn’t go with Regi to the hospital. She loves babies and everyone’s birth stories, so she thought she was really missing out.

Trying to think of a way to keep Hannah’s mind off of the pending delivery, I decided to let the kids watch several of our home movies. We have video-taped each of our children’s birth at the hospital as well as other memorable moments, so I thought maybe these might be a great rainy Saturday activity. Boy, was I right! Each pair of eyes was glued to the screen as they watched younger versions of themselves, some while still in utero. They were amazed to see how much they had changed. I was too! Looking at each of them as infants and toddlers, listening to them try to talk took me back. The time has truly flown by and the memories were certainly sweet to savor. Regi and I have been truly blessed. (having a proud father moment) We’ve got great kids!

Regi was gone from 8am till around 8pm. At first, I was concerned about being left alone for so long, but I’m thankful that my paternal instincts kicked in (or was it just the phone number for Casey’s–I’m not sure)… Anyway, it was a great day. In fact, I think I’d like to do it again sometime. I think I’ll have the video camera running next time. I wonder if Regi would mind? :-P

Micheal and Liz.

Michael came and mowed our pasture last weekend. Liz thought she would give the tractor a try. :)

Preschool Graduation

I never posted any photos of Luke’s Preschool Graduation (last May). A friend asked me if there were any photos on here from this exciting event. There were not, so here ya go. Matheau took these photos with his Canon 20D. The other cutie next to Luke is a good buddy of his. :)

Birthdays.

All three girls are getting close to celebrating their birthdays. I have been doing some reminiscing as I gather photos for their mini books I am making. More photos to come. :)
This is Liz’s first homemade chocolate chip cookie.

Another photo from the other day.

I took several photos last week that I am going to try to get uploaded. This is one I loved, so cute, but still has some dirt on her nose. Soo Liz. She is a little fireball. It amazes me how much personality each of the kiddos have.

I’ve added a few photos of some of my latest altered projects. If you are interested, go to altered projects (on the right hand side of this page.)
